I don't want to format. Last time I did, I lost 1000 points...

I'm sure i will gain at least a thousand though. All my drives is a mess, i don't even know which drive that holds the WORKING w2k. Can't explain it, it's just weird.

Here's my dual 248 with AiW 9700 Pro in stock configuration, no tweaking at all.

No tweaks, No Optimizations, No Overclocking... no clue. Tomorrow I will reformat and tweak.... dunno about Overclocking as this 9700 Pro is not being nice with it's glued on heatspreaders falling off GRR

those look like some good scores to me

enverex, i agree with you, every reformat leaves me with 500 less points. although i could probably stand moving to win2k, as i have most of the winxp specific stuff disabled anyways, and if it'd help performance...

That setup should do 20K stock at least. That cpu and mb combo does 22K with an XT all stock. I'd say that's a bad score considering the setup.

I did a reformat and all... yet I get 100 points less this time around. Any help? Everything is stock, haven't changed anything, no settings changes or anything.

Os, Updates, Chipset drivers, DirectX, Sound, Videocard. That's the order that works.

Shoot a sandra memory bandwidth score and tell me the timings etc.

my 9800p sucks .... thats with a zalman zm80c + 2x120mm fans blowing 70ish cfm each over it (125 stock cfm running at 7v). If I bump the core ANY higher I get artifacts, I got none with 440.

Croc, That's a pretty sweet score! Did you use any arctic silver (Rather than the default paste they give you) I don't imagine it would make a terrible difference. My 9800 core can only do 447 before things start to tear.

Yeah that was just after a clean install, I am sure I can get it higher with some tweaking (which I plan on doing later :D). I used AS5 on the GPU/Heatpipe etc. Oh well.

EDIT: ... finally broke 18K and got almost back up to 50K in Aqua after switching from the Albatron 5950Ultra bios to the MSI 5950Ultra bios :D

EDIT 2: Got a bit higher scores with the Leadtek A380U bios so I'm stuck with it right now :) Awaiting some new nVidia drivers though to solve my texture flickering problems :(

This is interesting. This is on my nf7s running at 230fsb and 178mghz higher than on my asus a7n8x at 2300mghz and only using a 200fsb. All other hardware is the same but its 70 points lower.

Results @ stock are about 10k. That's what I get for leaving FAH running I guess. Last time I tested I got ~14k though. Didn't think of actually getting a picture, though. :buck:
