My NF7-S does a 240 FSB.

I have, in my hands, my very own Radeon 9800 XT.

I'll see you on top.

I'm going for the air-cooling crown, as I can't top mack and his wicked-cool water cooling.

But it's time to kick some Pentium 4 ass, step on a few Athlons, and generally throw it down.

2.4GHz, 240MHz FSB (2/2.5/2 @ 3v + CPU int enabled), Radeon 9800 XT, and a fresh Windows 2000 install. So, scores on Saturday.

Just letting you all know so Geeky can scramble to his wallet.

    Thrax, you suck. :D

Wallet nothing. I'm not upgrading. I'm waiting for PCI-Express, the R420, and S939.

I've got Other Things to buy right now. 1000w RMS, aluminum cone, 18Hz-500Hz, 96.4dB sensitivity, and since they're '01 models, they're $90 each. Now I just have to decide whether I want 2 or 3. :D

Thrax arent you getting WCing for Xmas? Are you WCing the GPU as well? You should be able to top Mack then. Or did you trade the WCing setup for the XT?

I ditched the WC idea. I had purchases better placed elsewhere.

I think I'll probably go w/ a single 3000W (1500W RMS) 12" Sub w/ the 1200W RMS amp to power it. The sub is $200 and the amp is around $350. That doesn't include s&h though. Also I'll need a wiring kit and all that but I'm thinking this is what I want for Christmas + Birthday (not too shabby when your b-day is 1 month after Christmas (to the day)). :D:D:D Oh, yeah, the Sub has dual 2ohm voice coils so I'll wire it up for 1ohm and the amp is stable @ 1ohm. OH YEAH! :Rocker:

    Thrax... STFU. :D;D

If my car stereo didn't sound like sh!t, I'd buy one. But it does. And I can't handle it anymore. And, since the 9700 Pro is fast enough (yes, I know that's an oxymoron) for now, I need the stereo more.

You should easily beat me with that rig Thrax. My cpu BARELY does 2.5. I just found out that my 9800 NP does 500 on the core without artifacts and stable. Junky memory at 320 though.

What buffels be though is that how on earth peeps with the same rig and speed as me get 2000 more marks. I have uninstalled Directx, installed other Directx's, drivers, panels and all kinds of ****. Omegabased 3.4 is the fastest, hands down.

For games too, or just 3dmark? Where can I get Omega 3.4s?

    Lol,

Just found out that they are based on 3.5's.
    http://downloads.driverheaven.net/omega/rad_w2kxp_omega_2460.exe

They are very fast overall and i have no problems in the games i play.

    NS,

Is that maxed out as far as memory bw is concerned?

    Anyway,

UNINSTALL the cat's, run their own cleaner afterwards.
Install those Omega's i linked to above. I use DX9b but 8.1 is just as fast or even faster i think. Set everything on opimal in the cat's panel and set all sliders to the left in both OGL and Direct 3d. Remove any secondary monitor if you have one as that slows things down a lot. Defrag the harddrive, set 3dmark to real-time before hitting the "Benchmark" button.

Well I've got them installed, and the one game I've had a chance to play (NFS Underground Demo) ran well. But I can't get my TV Tuner on my AIW to work. I guess the WDM drivers from ATI aren't compatible with Omega's display drivers?
