Thanks for the games last night, I had a lot of fun. I had been playing TF2 A LOT lately, but Halo 3 recently came out, so I've been playing a lot of that too. I'll catch you all on there again soon.
Yeah news has been a little slow lately it's a twofold problem: I've been crazy busy at work (and thus unable to post newsbits from there) and then... Well, yeah... TF2....
I will practice before I join you guys...because I will suck
Joining us = practice = joining us. You can't get good by running around alone on some level. I was trying to dissuade TT of the same thing today - just join in the fragging fun and learn as you go It isn't a matter of life and death
Any room for some fresh blood? I am extremely bad at shooters....But the premise of playing medic seems very tempting. Excuse my ignorance, but how do I join the team?
EDIT:: http://steamcommunity.com/id/EmbersRed Could anyone add me please whenever they have the time? You'll see me in game after the add running around as the medic that looks like a chicken with its head cut off.
How do the invites work? As in if I receive an invite from person A and accept it, that person shows up on my friends list, but do I show up on there friends list?
Gotta love the weekend! I'll be on overnight Friday - Saturday and most of Sunday, and pretty much anytime the wife isn't attempting to pull me out of my chair. See you all soon

Now all I have to do is figure out what to use to open and edit script files.
I know I can open it with notepad, but will that work for writing a new file?

No, they're called scripts, and call game functions to automate tasks. They've been used and encouraged by developers on any game that owes its existence to Quake 1 in any way.
That is to say, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, HL, HL2, and any game running those engines have offered this functionality.

I'm at 42% d'load. In advance, am I supposed to submit my Steam ID to be added to IC?
Edit - 1 hour later, 63%.

Next question. This machine only has an X1800XL installed....should I get something with more beef?
Actually ... of the news forum ...
we successfully defended our control point for over 20 minutes - thanks to our well coordinated teamwork.
Props to Winfrey (Freec), CB Droege (our MVP!), Fatcat (newly a kickass medic), Keebler (patience!), and of course mas0n who pwned faces.
That last dash was pretty epic...until Hell's Organs were unleashed!
my iMac has a x1600...you'll be fine.
and I can't wait to drop a bomb on ur arse!

*goes to pre-order orange box*
<-- will see all you punks tonight, hopefully.

You can play WoW and TF2. I balance two 70s, a 60, and raiding with work, TF2, and D&D.
MULTI-TASK, ANNE.
ZOMG HAXX!
Where do we find the scripts and change them?
I'd like to implement the rocket jump script.
BTW thanks for the info.

Nope. These scripts would be cheating.
That is to say, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, HL, HL2, and any game running those engines have offered this functionality.
Is a batch file cheating in Windows?
Windows is not a game.
