Congrats to the Healy family!
Braeden is doing good. He'll be in the NICU (Neo intensive care unit) for a few days since he's 5 weeks early. He really seems to be doing good. Mom is doing great, thanks to epidural and good drugs!!!
I'm VERY happy everything turned out good. I had a constant support system of friends and family throughout the day. Now off to sleep....
.....
Oh... yeah, I have a few pictures for you. THEN off to sleep.
And thanks everyone... More when time permits.

I am sure my wife and I won't be too far behind you guys.
//edit: I oppose the propagation of the misspelling of Matthew though
Congrats to you, mom, and baby Braeden Mathew.
Handsome little rascal.
Well, Braeden is doing "OK". His breathing is still labored. Assuming he can get that under control and he eats good, he can come home. Worse case, 2 weeks, best case a few days. 6 weeks early + boy = usually longer stay.
Well... we appreciate all the warm wishes and prayers, keep them coming.

I'll back track a bit... His breathing corrected itself and he was removed from oxygen on th 12th. His next obstacle was to start to eating. He started with 100% being fed to him directly into his stomach via a feed tube. Then we slowly started giving him milk by mouth. He slowly took more by mouth and less by the feeding tube. The big problem, at first, was developing the "suck, swallow, breath" reflex. Eating was really tiring him out so it was slow going. By last weekend he was up to 40cc (1.5 oz-ish) by mouth and 20cc by tube. By Monday he was up to about 60 cc by mouth and 15 cc in the tube. Tuesday they pulled the feeding tube...
His last obstacle, eat enough totally by mouth for 48 hours and NOT lose weight. Now remember, he was born at 6 lbs 7 oz. As of Tuesday he was 6 lbs 8 oz.
Wednesday the 21st, he weighed 6 lbs 10 oz.......
This morning... he weighed 6 lbs.....
......
10.5 ounces!!!!
!!! Happy Thanksgiving !!!
