I guess we don't see that, because we've only been there during the LAN parties. Personally, at all three LAN parties that were at the house, I spent most of my time either in the tent or in the dining room.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project.
I was thinking about your remodeling project while I was playing Oblivion the other night. It actually started with the thought that the first level of Frostcrag would make a great place to host a LAN party. What that led me to was that if you are moving the entertainment stuff to the 'dining room', and Keebs is leaving the basement, that leaves two large connected, finished spaces inside your house. I might be underestimating the actual space, but you could proly fit the LAN party in the house...
I'm usually pretty good at visualizing spaces, but I also just realized that I'm only picturing about 25 people, when I look back and see that the LAN parties have about 45 attendees. :/
We were able to fit three people on a single narrow 6-foot folding table, we could probably fit a whole LAN party in the living room and basement! Or maybe the living room and garage, assuming the garage were emptied.
Also, the living room will be kinda full with 2 (small) sofas, coffee table, Brian and my desks, and the dining room table And, the downstairs only has the illusion of being "finished" because of my area rugs, one of which is migrating to the new entertainment area until the floor can be replaced. It's nasty glue-ridged floor under them.
Well, sure, you'd have to put the sitting room and office furniture in storage for the weekend or something, but still easier and cheaper than revival tent.

Not computers, monitors, chairs, tables, etc. etc. etc..
Too bad my parents think computer games are teh devil.
It'll be a moot point.

You are a madman!
Get on it boys!
Also, I like the LAN outside. Feels more awesome that way.
I think it is your space and you must have highly estimated what to do with it...
I don't think this sentence means anything.
I second that! For all these pics you're supposedly taking, we've seen practically nothing!
Indubitably!
the least used room in my house is the laundry room....I need a maid
(yes, I enjoyed the few posted and looking forward to the end result)
Wow someone actually pointed it out... go grade some term papers or something
