What browser do you use?

edited December 2003 in Science & Tech
I was an IE faithful and occasionally dabbled with other browsers but I've just recently switched to Opera 7 and I'm loving it. Once you turn off all the worthless garbage it uses very little cpu cycles and is much easier to use than IE IMO. I especially like the tab functions.

EDIT: Damn these mods are quick. Thanks BlackHawk .

I use Firebird and MyIE. I try to use Firebird more since it feels faster but IMHO the tabbed browsing in MyIE is better.

I've messed around with some of the others, but always ended up back with IE.

No complaints with the others; mostly just a matter of being somewhat stuck in my ways. Forgive me - I'm old...

I imagine if I ever stuck with one long enough to get used to it I might switch permanently. Just haven't made up my mind to do it (yet).

MyIE. Gotta love tabbed browsing. Firebird is good but I hate how it saves my favorites.

    Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1.

ALT+TAB works just as well as "Tabbed Browsing." :)

Been using it since IE 2.0 for Windows 3.11... why change now? :D

Um, Netscape dev has been suspended. Mozilla 1.5 is root core of latest Firebird, AFAIK, and Thunderbird .3 is rooted in Mozilla 1.5's mail client. I THINK the dev process has been reversed, as things get fixed in the separate ones you get them in Mozilla if they fit. Could be wrong, but that is how it seems lately. Linux adn other alternate O\S folks tend to like separate blocks of code for email and browsing a lot.

I use Opera for browsing alone, and Thunderbird for email as I like one folder set per email account plus local folders I choose, for storage.

I use IE mainly, although I've tried Firebird and it's cool too...
With Nortons Anti Spam My IE is fun to use again cause I get no popups and I still get the pages loaded correctly...
The one thing that I've noticed with Firebird is that not all sites pages load correctly or completely the first time.

However I also have Netscape which I do use ocasionaly but I mainly use it to test my site in...

If you take the time to learn how to use Opera, and take advantage of it's advanced features, and customize it...then you are a smart person.

Opera > than nay other browser

Trust me Ive used every single one, for long amounts of time.

Well, I just loaded My IE. Not too bad at all. I think I'm going to have to install this at work for further testing. Let's see what this puppy can do!

I also installed Opera 7 on my computer as well. I'd take that one to work but for some reason Microsoft (the people that we're contracted by) doesn't like us installing that, Netscape or Mozilla. Go figure?!? :)

Can't argue with that logic. I am a rather smart person :p. I like it so far. Haven't really gotten into the little details yet, in due time.
