Say what you will about Nvidia's shennanigans over renaming older generation cards and other 'scandalous' behavior, their drivers development team continues to be first class.

I'm wondering if there's a real benefit to running these over the standard x64 Vista drivers that have served me fine so far.

I'll probably give them a shot, worse things have happened.

It can't hurt to try. I would imagine the worst that could happen is that the drivers won't work well and that you simply uninstall them. At least with XP - haven't tried Win7 - the Add & Remove Programs functions clears out Nvidia drivers well should you have a problem. Also, CCcleaner works very well in Vista, so I assume it will work well in W7 also.

The drivers should work well for you. As I worte above, Nvidia tends to be very good with video drivers.
