    Thank you Playstation for at least acknowledging the problem. I for one am grateful because I thought it was just me. Some of you people are crazy, how can you talk about going to an unreliable inferior product (x360) just because of one issue. We all have lives and should try and go back them for one day. Please Sony don't make a liar out of me!

    Normally I leave my PS3 off, and I figured "hey, okay, no problem. I'll just not turn it on today, even though I want to watch a movie later." no biggie, there is life outside my PS3.

    Then I heard the fan from the kitchen. Turns out, it has been on since last night.

    Fail.

    How long has it been? It said 24 hours but when did it actually occur? I was just online about 1:15 Eastern time and it was fine. Now at 2:42 it isn't doing anything.

    ohhhhhh xbox... you break down out of the box and have a 1 IN 3 fry rate.... leaving thousands of gamers down for weeks on end and deleting more achievement data than anythng available today.... but since sony has a single issue with a calender bug... i think ill go buy one of you... since you magically have more "good" games....

    now to xbox users... seriously. stay off our boards.... your an expired system that lost the war... you dont even have HD ... remember that attachement to play HD movies? that was your HD chip... you play in 720i thats up-converted to 720p... and wow... you have halo.... your not special just because you couldnt afford the price tag of 599.99... i have both systems... its not hard to notice that a launcn system 60GB has out lasted MANY 360's...

    Yeah, kind of annoying, but whatever. I'm a proud owner of a 60GB (backwards-compatible) PS3, but I'll deal with it tomorrow. If there's an issue, I'm sure there will be a fix I can do from a USB thumb drive, or just have fun with the coin-cell battery. And if not, well...

    ...whatever. Pigflipper said it best with that comic. That was awesome by the way. :D

    The only thing about all this that really concerns me is when I turned on my PS this morning everything was set back to factory default.theme,wallpaper,etc.Luckily all trophy info and such was unaffected.Put a terabyte HD in mine last week so atleast i still have a recent restore point if needed.

    xbox...yeah until it crashes like all things microsoft do.this isnt the playstations problem,somebody just forgot to dot their I.buddy of mine is on his 4th fragbox(xbox).that kinda loyalty comes at a price.$$$$

    It's rather unfortunate. I have a day off work and am confined to the walls of my house due to the fact that my 4 year old is sick. I was looking forward to staying up late last night with a cold six pack and MW2. Something so simple brings me soo much joy. Instead I watched a horrible movie and turned in early and today has been spent checking the net hoping to find a solution to my dilemma. These unfortunate turns of events wouldn't usually bother me so bad but I guess it's just bad timing. Sony.... no hard feelings... just save me from my boredom as quickly as possible. Thank You.

    Well well well. We have an issue I called of work today with the Shats and can't play my very expensive PShat3 And lost my trophy data and can't watch my rented movie either. thank you ps3 network for irritating me more than my ass Bravo japan you suck

    i just got general knoxx too...i hope my dlc is not all screwed up when i get back to it...i will be pissed...i already am.

    This suck a**!! I just got my PS# back from getting repaired by Sony and now this happens on the day it arrives!! I concur with you all when you say TUCK SONY............. No one wants to make quality items anymore, they are all just being lazy making BS items and selling for more than it is really worth!!!
