    ;D I like it.

although 100 yards would still be difficult as hell

[I KEEP MY BALLS IN A JAR] Player successfully completes the golfing event without losing more than one (1) golf ball. (40pts)

We should add the caveat that if you search for a lost ball more than a minute or two, it's too long. Searching the rough for our balls took as long as putting last year.

agreed. don't buy $3/each golf balls. none of ya are pro level. do a quick sweep for your ball, if ya don't see it, move on.

Okay, some basic rules I'm gonna lay down for this event.

#1 We will all meet in ICHQ driveway at 7:30am Friday morning so we can pack the cars and roll out. This means if you get shitfaced Thursday night (happens, ask Jimmeh) don't expect us to wake you up. Ryder and I will do an initial sweep to collect the golfers and that is it.

#2 We will have a quick breakfast on the way to the course, this is usally McDonald's or the sort. Key word is QUICK.

#3 I highly suggest you have all the golf balls, equipment etc. you need before Friday morning as we will not be making any other stops on way to course. Worst case you can buy golf balls at club house, but will pay a premium.

#4 Teams will be made up before the event. Know your teams so we can check in, pay, and roll out to the course with a quickness.

#5 If we have time after golf, we will stop for lunch at like a quiznos, or the general vote is in favor of that. So it might be wise to bring some snacks and water/gatorade to the course with you. Just drinking whiskey for 4 hours might sound cool, but is unwise in the heat.

#6 Ryder, GHoosdum and I reserve the right kick you out of the event for breaking golf rules, endangering other golfers, or just being a total asshole. It's a nice 4-5 mile walk back to ICHQ.

    anything else I'm forgetting?

Doing this is most likely to break the head off your putter. If you want to participate in this, bring 2. Also, when the head breaks, it usually breaks at impact. The head of the putter usually goes farther than the ball (and could kill someone if it goes the wrong way).

Yea, I might know a thing or two about this. smiley-face-whistle-2.gif

Part of the "etc" that you should bring is something to drink on the course (gatorade is my favorite to help nurse the hangover). That way we don't have to stop somewhere to get it.

ok, can you confirm that for me ASAP Conrad, cause if Zenmode plays that will give us 12, three teams of 4, and the max we can take.

    thanks

Just so you know, I have never golfed before. Might want to be careful who you put me on a team with. ;) My grandmother just gave me her golf clubs she only used a few times, so I thought I would try this whole thing out!

how exactly is team C stacked? I have only played once in the past two years, and was the worst player on my team last year.

also, I am pretty sure Ryder hasn't played since last year's expo...

So, I'm guessing you all fear GHoosdum then?

Indeed, I have not played since last year at Epic and I have an even bigger gut to swing around. Don't expect anything "Epic" from me on the golf course.

That said, I don't really care, if people think the teams are stacked, someone else draw randomly, LOL.

LOL, hopefully nobody actually fears me, left to my own devices, I shoot a 120.

I don't mind being the last kid picked in a random draw. ;)

If you are taking in total noobs then I can play. I just got a set of used clubs for father's day, but have about zero skill. If anyone would want that on a team, then count me in.
