Highlander Play - 9v9 One of each class on each team.

We need a 12-14 player team - 3-6 subs/alternates (official rules call for 10-14 players, we're still shooting for at least 12)

# Signups close: Thursday 26th of August - If we don't have at least 9 "in"s by the 23rd I'm callin it a bust.

# Final divisions announced: Sunday 29th of August - We get assigned to a group and find out who we will be playing against in the first round

# Schedule deadline for week 1 matches: Sunday the 5th of September - We work out with out competitors when/where we will play

# Week 1 start: Sunday the 12th of September - We Play

**BIG ONE HERE READ THIS NOA!** The usual playing time for ETF2L matches is Sunday’s from 20:00-21:30 CET. Make sure you are willing to (and can!) play at such times and on European servers before you sign up. (that is 8PM-9:30PM Paris time CET = 11AM-12:30PM Los Angeles Time PDT = 2PM-3:30PM Detroit Time EST)

    Oh I want you, but that's besides the point.

    For the team, it's all in fun. I want people that want to play to have fun.

    [edit] This requires a team of 12-15 people. If anyone that is in has other peeps that are not IC that may be interested, let us know as will will probably need them.

    If the team requires 12-15 people then we should shoot for 20 to make sure we have enough alts/subs.

    Each match 9 players will play, one of each class ( =Highlander ). The extra 3-6 players are subs/alts.

    probably in. i'll update a bit closer to the deadline

    in order of preference:

    soldier / sniper / spy / medic / ... / engie

    in order of skill:

    soldier / sniper / medic / ... / ... / spy ... / ... / demo

    In. And I'll find out about Rex. I'm decent at Heavy, Demo, Soldier, Pyro, Medic...recommend Rex as spy. Kid even makes me rage when he plays spy!

    He makes me play Just Dance and chase him around until he burns to death when he plays spy.

    He's pretty good though.

    I hope Nick D wants to participate and picks up the sniper spot. He puts me in my place.

    If Rex and Candle say Yay we have a shot at a team! Spread the word guys!

    I think we will plan a meet up on the IC server on Sunday the 22nd at the normal time 11AM Los Angeles Time PDT = 2PM Detroit Time EST and every Sunday after that. We will try to set our first string asap then try to setup some practice matches.

    We've also got LOEI on Wed to practice / recruit.

    I just created an account on etf2l.org (which everyone will need to do eventually). You need to add your SteamID to the account, which you can get by joining any server and typing status into the console.

    I'll play anything but Medic. And even then, I'd play medic if no one else will. I prefer Spy and Sniper and Heavy but how good I am at any of them is debatable.

    Go Here and Register: http://etf2l.org/wp-login.php

    You will be emailed a defailt password. I suggest the first thing you do after you you sign in is set your password for easy remembering.

    Log into TF2 and join a server
    Press ~ to being up the consol (If the console window does not come up see here)
    type Status
    You will see information like this

    Highlight the number after STEAM_ It will be in the format of X:X:XXXXXXXX (For example mine is 0:0:17069763)
    Right click on it and click copy

    then go back to your ETF2L profile page, put that number in the SteamID box and save

    Also Everyone throw out ideas for Team Name, I personally think League Of Extraordinary Icrontians has a nice ring to it but we might want to go with something like {IC}Ur B0|\|3R

    Of Note:

    How do I record a demo of our games?

    All players in ETF2L competitions are required to record demos of their games. This means that we can see exactly what each player did in a game, for the purposes of checking for cheating. To record a demo, simply connect to the TF2 server that you are going to play the match on, and when you are ready to start playing the match, open the console by pressing the tilde or ` key, and type “record highlandermatch1′ in the console and press enter. A demo will then be recorded with the name highlandermatch1. You should use a different name for each match. You can use whatever names you wish for the demo. All demos should be kept for at least two weeks after the match has been played. You may be required to upload demos by an admin on the match page, so make sure to check them and check your email account regularly.

    Play with this a bit so you make sure you can do it.

    Everyone interested,

    Thank you to those who have signed up on ETF2L and sent me their user names. To those who have not, please do so at your earliest convenience.

    I would like to get as many members involved as possible on the server this Wednesday for League of Extraordinary Icrontians. Please try to hop on at 10pm EST so we can play and maybe build some strategies. I'll see if I can get an Admin to be there to help us Clan sta... end up on the same team.

    And his roommate :p is an awesome spy though a tad drunk most of the time. They could switch and the judges would never no.
