Me to. I always ended up at art camp instead. Space Camp was simply too far away for my parents to be okay with it.

In Huntsville? I went to the one next door - "Aviation Challenge". it's like space camp but with fighter jets. Was soooo fun.

Always would go to the same cafeteria as the Space Camp kids, they have some awesome stuff to play with over there!!

He's doing the "space" track. The choices were Aviation, Robotics, and Space. The space track is Mars-centric from what I understand. Kyle has his eyes set squarely on the red planet :)

    Internal structure?

All jokes aside, I lived next to NASA for the majority of my life. I hope you have an inspiring time at space camp, for traveling outward is the only future where we don't blow ourselves up. Now, if we could just get the budget figured out instead of lopping off entire departments within NASA.

If you want to be an astronaut you should join Boy Scouts and get your Eagle.

True story. An inordinate amount of astronauts have attained Eagle.

Kyle, I really wanted to go to space camp as a kid as well. I am sure you will have an awesome time.

If you're interested in Mars, you might be interested in some of the books I had in my collection:

Fiction (ranges from naive to improbable to somewhat realistic):
The Sands of Mars by Arthur C. Clarke
The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury
The Martian Way by Isaac Asimov
"A Rose for Ecclesiastes" short story by Ray Bradbury
    Mars by Ben Bova
Red Mars/Green Mars/Blue Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson
    Moving Mars by Greg Bear

    And a non-fiction entry:
The Case for Mars by Robert Zubrin

This is obviously just a small subset of what has been written about Mars, but I can personally vouch for all of the books I listed above.
