Huzzah, we have a planning thread.
@Wagsftw @Lincoln and I may drive to DC. Perhaps leave on Thursday, come back Monday?
Everyone else sound off here.

Lincoln edits to actually add relevant info:
Rennfest 20102 is 31 Aug - 3 Sept
That's Labor Day weekend.
Annes and pragtastic host our only annual "away" event in the metro DC area. This event is dominated by board games, delicious food, and beer (wait, isn't that every event?). On Saturday we arrive at the Maryland Renaissance Faire at opening and stay there until our legs give out (or we start to sober up).
We begin at their apartment, typically move to Annes' parents' house near the faire grounds on Friday, spend all day Saturday at the faire. In the past we've met up with Preacher & family on Sunday, but I have no idea if he'll even be in the country for it this year.
Airport: Please use DCA. BWI is possible but inconvenient, so group flights (or don't, at your own peril).

With the new job I have more time available so I can possibly go
The best airport is DCA. Super easy to hop on the train and get to the Motley Fool (if they are at work) or to get a quick pickup.
I think BWI and IAD are both also negotiable if price differences justifies it. Probably talk with our hosts beforehand.
And with that: IN.
10:00 AM on 8/31 (Friday) at DCA via Air Canada flight AC302
DEPART:
7:05 PM on 9/3 (Monday) at DCA via Air Canada flight AC7665
YOLO.
4:58 p.m.
Fri., Aug. 31, 2012
Washington, DC (DCA - National)
Depart:

Mon., Sep. 3, 2012
