    Dear Detroit:

    Sincerely, Cleveland.

p.s. Would you like one of our brewmasters? He's currently ruining our best microbrewery.

"Look to the Two James, though, if you really want to let loose — they have designs on eventually distilling Absinthe." This can only bring good things to Expo Icrontic, right?

This should be a required trip for ICSP.

I'm beginning to realize how spoiled I am in Columbus.
  • That's quite awesome. I'd recommend everyone attending Expo this year pitch in a $4 and we can buy one of these:

@PirateNinja, there are easier ways to swap oral fluids with the rest of Icrontic.

If you have to use a gadget to determine if you've had too much, you're doing it wrong ;)
  • Oh god I'm getting old and ruining fun. Honestly, I can't wait to see how the microdistillery evolves.

This was much my understanding before I did a double take.

Icrontic should get it's own microdistillery.

I've been doing some distilling lately. I'll bring some shine next time I'm over that'a way.

I've got an idea to make a beer I'd like to call the Icrontic Bootleg.

I have 0 knowledge on how to brew but considering the title I'd like to try using maple (or maple syrup)

Icrontic Bootleg...Canada HAHA prohibition jokes...(I'm sorry I'll never do it again...I mean it)

  • midgamidga "There's so much hot dog in Rome" ~digi (> ^.(> O_o)>
@Ilriyas 1) Beer is easy, but you have to be able to make heat and keep things sanitary. You might have problems with it.
    2) Don't waste our time with your meaningless Canadian reflex apologies.
    3)
    I have 0 knowledge.

Well obviously I can't brew at my dorm. Brewing would be more of a field for my father I'd just help out and chip in ideas.

    Also HEY

    "Two James Rye Whiskey
Unlike other rye whiskey's that use a mixture of grain for their rye spirit, Two James uses 100% Michigan grown rye which is aged for a minimum of two years in charred oak barrels. The result is a spicy, smooth and distinctive spirit with aromas and flavors of oak, grain and anise and vanilla bean, complemented by hints of toffee and baking spice. "

    That sounds fantastic!
  • RyanMMRyanMM Ferndale, MI
Wow. Using 100% rye is a very bold move. The minimum % of rye to call it rye whiskey is only 51%; few distilleries go above 70% on that mash bill. I'll be curious to see how that tastes.
  • primesuspectprimesuspect Beepin n' Boopin Detroit, MI
I think you're reading it wrong. I think what they're saying is that all the rye they use will be from Michigan.

  • RyanMMRyanMM Ferndale, MI
That would make a lot more sense and be way less crazy.
