Well at Icrontic, there was an overwhelming amount of nForce2 data, and that was good because people constantly had problems. It's been a while... So, how's everything going?

Myself:
Still on my first 8RDA. Ordered it on my birthday (01/14), so we're coming up on 1/2 year. Some driver issues causing BSOD, but fixable once I get around to it. It's still one of the fastest computers for being as old as it is... :D

8RDA+ died in 62 days of purchase.

NF7-S 2.0 purrs like a kitten. It sports the longest up time I've ever had, highest overclocks I've ever had, and no problems whatsoever.

    Status:

    1) EPoX 8RDA+ (home) - Sold due to intermittant performance and corsair compatibility.

    2) EPoX 8RDA+ (work) - NOT overclocked but a fried mosfet ended it's life yesterday.

    3) NF7-S V2 (home) - Solid as a brick. Overclocks to the highest with absolute ease. Latest BIOS fixes the few little glitches. Great board.

    4) EPoX 8RGA+ (work) - Solid. Driver bugged againsn't the xilinx webpack FPGA software.

    5) Shuttle SN41G2 (home) - Solid with newest BIOS revision. Poor overclocking ability.

    6) Gigabyte 7NNXP (work) - Poor capacitor placement but a tidy board. Works considerably better WITHOUT the dual power supply. Overclocks well too.

Further details on all of the above if necessary ;)

I have found the nForce2 selections generally good. Stable once you home them in a little. I still recommend it over any VIA sets, despite my few niggles. Seen enough nForce2 boards from different suppliers!

I've secured an NF7-S v1.2- thanks go out to the kind person who sent it my way- and was wondering if I'm going to get the same kinds of numbers with that as with the v2.0 boards. I've done some Googling on the 1.2 revs but most are old and don't discuss how they operate with the latest BIOS.

Anybody with an older 1.2 rev using the latest BIOS?

    My NF7-S rev 2.0 is running rock solid. 1800+ @ 2.0 Ghz
No compatibility problems, no driver problems actually no problems at all. :D
But when is a new chipset driver due to be released?
They sure have been working on it for a while now.

I do have occasional dropouts due to my crappy PSU.
Because of these dropouts I do not dare upgrading my bios yet.
The strange thing is that I have not had a single dropout under full load. It reboots during idle. Wierd, very wierd.
Have not found the limit of my processor either due to the PSU.
If it turns out unstable I would not know wheter or not it is the processor.

A7N8X-Deluxe died while OCing. RMA'ed it, got new board last week. New board didn't work properly out of the box (it's reading the cpu temp 10*F or more off; it's telling me the CPU is @ 68*F in a 78 degree room! Also, one of the LEDs on one of the LAN ports doesn't work. Time for another RMA.
