What about Steam in the great room? Or the Pacific Room?
Steam Battle for the Pacific Room sounds like a summer blockbuster.
I found it funny that this was mentioned and my work just...
Our Pacific Room, with our $5000, 80" 1080p TV. Because we needed that for our least used meeting room. But at least with the way the room is set up, I can sneak into the office and watch game tournament streams on a nice TV.
SteamOS will be made available when the prototype hardware ships. It will be downloadable by individual users and commercial OEMs. (But unless you’re an intrepid Linux hacker already, we’re going to recommend that you wait until later in 2014 to try it out.) We’ll post info soon about that. Oh, and stay tuned for the in-home streaming beta to begin soon, too!
One of my post holiday priorities is Steam OS testing. I have a USB 3.0 external drive that performs pretty decent, I'm thinking I might format and boot it from that.

I've got a Shuttle box that's just begging for some GabeNOS love.
Kind of dissapointed to hear that SteamOS is UEFI only without a workaround.
