I would like to offer printing service to those here at EPIC this year!
If you have an STL file ready to go*, I will figure out how to print it for you!
Parts should be less than 8" x 9" x 6" (physical size of my printer). Also a print cannot occur during the TF2 tournament since my laptop will be needed.
Colors available:
ABS orange
ABS Green (fluorescent)
ABS Red
ABS Black
ABS Blue
PLA Blue
Less than 1 hour print free!
$10 small print (1-4 hrs)
$20 per print (4 - 8 hours)
$30 Large print (8+ hours)
*I will not be offering design services during the event. (There just isn't time)

Do you have a laser scanner? If so, how long would the scanned object need to remain rigid?
Dickboats are free, though.
Depends on the alcohol content.

It should print in < 45 minutes. Will have to see the colors myself before I decide.
Are you able to mess with the scale of a thing?

I would need the internal diameter to be ~21-22mm
How do I tell what size a thing is? I'd love to get this made, but have no idea how big it is to determine prices.

LOL I can't wait to hear how your trip back through airport security goes with THAT in your bag!
I can very easily adjust the scale.
Edit: I don't think the detail on the ring will show up well.
Sorry: going with not doing that one because 1) its a gun, and 2) see reason 1.
If you're interested in getting this later, we might be able to print said ring, laser cut the writing, and cast out of a gold looking epoxy, cast in bronze or maybe gold if you'd like to pay for it.
It'd be ~ 2 weeks after expo though.
Can't be any worse than @Thrax going home with a 3D printed clone of his dong.
Excuse me, I was talking about 3D scanning my favorite jell-o mode, you sick fuck.
Sure sure. Whatever makes you feel better.
And yes, yes I am. But that really has no bearing on this part of the conversation.
Useful tools:
FreeCAD
Blender
You ever tried to use blender? Fuck blender.
Would you be able to make this? http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:251118
How do I know how long it should take?
Those rings would be hard to do without a special plastic most likely, being so close in tolerance for them to "link" together, the material would probably fuse together during printing.
How long do you think this would take? I'd like it in black.

You ever tried to use FreeCAD? Fuck FreeCAD.
Have you ever paid for the pro tools? Fuck the pro tools.
You ever got caught by the Police?
I can make that. ~ 2 hrs would be my estimate.
Can you give me an internal diameter size (measure another bracelet?)
I think that one would probably be about 3-4 hrs, would have to slice it with some detail to get it to look nice.
Friend of mine got caught with a Pro/E license. They coerced him in to buying ~ 5 licenses.
If they do fuse, you can get an exacto knife to clean it up. It won't be very bad with ABS.
I just measured some of my other bangle bracelets and they all measure about 3.75 in. (interior diameter). I'll see if I can find anything that's a little less detailed. Thanks!
:O
But fusion requires overcoming some of the strongest forces in the universe! How could you possibly hope to stand against that as a mere man?!
Never underestimate the power of a skillfully wielded X-Acto knife.
Use The sword of Exact-Zero!
I think I can get that to work as is
