Only recently learned that a favourite band of mine Graveyard recently released a new album.

Needless to say I've been listening to it almost nonstop for a week now.

I don't know if I like it. I feel like LaBrie's vocal track is far to prominent in the mix for me to enjoy the musicality of everyone else in the band.

I wasn't immediately in love with the new album like the ones before it but after a few listens I can tell it's going to grow on me. As a concept album it does incredibly well at flowing from one song to the next without you really noticing. As for LaBrie, I think this might be his most impressive performance yet. There are very subtle differences in his vocals depending on which character he is voicing and I think the prominence you're talking about is intentional to make those differences more apparent. That said, I'll admit the story isn't anything special and is a bit hard to make sense of just from listening to the album. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Astonishing#Synopsis

Image caught my attention, I like the title but I didn't really enjoy it, and the visuals overlapping was a bit unpleasant.

@ 2:22-2:30: Wish I knew what fountain pen they're using.

@ 2:53-3:00: Looks like a dip pen with an ink reservoir on top, good choice for writing in blood.
