We began brewing Vietnamese Speedway in 2012 when one of our brewers had the idea to add this blend of four Vietnamese coffees, known in Vietnam as cà phê sữa đá, to our popular imperial stout. The result was an instant hit! The coffee beans were slowly roasted at low temperatures and then brewed by AleSmith with a traditional phin-style filter that gently percolates water through the ground coffee. The result is an intensely aromatic and bold tasting coffee that complements the notes of chocolate and roast in this massive stout.
Black Tuesday is at the top of my list
Insanity is a VERY close second
Frangelic Mountain Brown
Bolt Cutter is amazing... the small release from Founders, DAMN GUYS consider this its delish
Immort Ale
Mocha Wednesday
El Bizzaron ANDD
Speedway Stout with Vietnamese Coffee
The more I read this list... I'd drink them all
GOOD GOD, thiss is going to be an amazingggggg tasting @RyanMM
Well, it's a very popular event and can only support a small number of people. It's all supply and demand. The supplier supplied and the demanders demanded. The quick demanders got what they demanded, while the slower ones were left demandamning.
The voting link has been messaged to people, but I have a feeling that there might have been at least one person (@HumerusMeg?) who wasn't on the original chain message. If you haven't gotten a message from me, let me know.
VOTING WILL CLOSE IN 48 HOURS. If you don't vote, you don't have a say, and what fun is that? If you're not sure what you want to taste, POST HERE AND ASK FOR F'S SAKE. We can help you with recommendations and discussion! Tagging confirmed attendees:
I had to vote for a couple B. Nektar meads I've never seen/heard/tasted before: Dread Pirate Paul and Smoked Pumpkin Caper. Those sound pretty interesting.
I feel like I probably shouldn't have voted for anything that's 12 oz, though, since the math doesn't really work out there.
Yeah, but in the end I'm guessing only 1 or 2 meads would make the cut, so it wouldn't be the kind of thing you'd really be able to enjoy fully. I've kicked around the idea of doing a mead-only tasting at some point, but haven't gotten to that yet.

Yes, but...which beer?
ALL THE BEERS!!!
That viet coffee speedway.
Had that one before?
Brewer's description:
Wow. That list. I can't even.
I love Speedway stout, and I've always wanted to try the viet coffee one but haven't found it around me.
Other picks of mine:
Black Tuesday
Bell's Black Note
Barrel Aged Solar Eclipse
I'm DYING to try Black Tuesday. Despite being a local, I've never had the pleasure of getting on the bottle list for this one.

And don't forget about Chocolate Rain, the other sibling of Black Tuesday. It's basically liquid diabetes in the best way possible.
oh geez, I didn't even see that on the list. I'm dead.
I've held but not tried Black Tuesday...
Ask @JBoogaloo if he cracked his 2013 bottle yet.

I did a while back and it was amazing! I'd like more, but we'll have to work that out
Awesome tasting, or best tasting ever?
It may be hard to top 2013, but we'll see!
how is this full?
There are more people who want to do the tasting than I can handle in a single seating, unfortunately.

I could potentially hold another tasting 1pm Friday or 11pm Friday.
Overflow group, please to be clicking this Doodle link and confirming which time(s) would work.

only five.... I mean....sigh
picking by age and name creativity
You only get to vote for 5...there will be more than 5 beers at the tasting.
I'm a bad. With voting, do we go with the row number on the far right of the sheet, or the "Beer #" column number?
I put the numbers from the Beer # column.
lol I knew that, I just wanted ALL THE BEERS!!!
So let's collude to rig the voting so that all the beers get equal votes!
Beer #. I hoped the voting link description made that clear.
That was absolutely the most difficult survey I've ever been tasked with completing.
