It's a little bit horrifying to me how casually everyone agreed to the 10-hours-per-game level. The thought of spending 10 hours on 1 lame game makes me feel like I'm going to break out in hives. Flight Control was a pretty fun game and I still only played it for 3 hours.
I just added up my Steam hours and it appears I've spent a little less than 30 minutes a day gaming over the last 5 years (including my massive first few months of TF2 hours missing from the Steam total). That kinda freaks me out, but at least 75% of that was TF2 which falls under social activity as far as I'm concerned.
If we say "Oh, you can play them in any order you want" then people will play all the games they've been looking forward to and putting off the crappy games they weren't looking forward to until the end, and they'll definitely burn out as it gets down to facing three months of playing nothing but shitty games you weren't looking forward to anyway. This way, you play through your WHOLE LIST no matter what, and the competition's goals (to complete our shameful backlogs) will survive.

The time spent doing this calculation could have been applied to your backlog...

This competition is doing some weird things to me. For the first time in my life, I feel guilty for reading a book or applying for jobs when I should be playing video games.

I don't know how I awesomed it (LOL TERIN LOGGING ON AS DAN) but I'm totally okay with awesoming it.

I win the scoreboard every month because I'm fucking great, and this is the only way the world has acknowledged it so far.
I haz no backlog, does I winz. However there is the matter of that cobblehaters Minecraft challenge I never "finished" (finished being a relative term because per terms of the challenge you must be in hardcore so if you die you're done)

Color me intrigued.... Got a link to the details of the challenge?

Sure... as soon as you get down to it.
