You know, I sat this morning and contemplated just re purchasing a Phenom II X6 to put on my existing board, but the more I thought about it the more I knew, I just would not be satisfied until I was on the new platform. May as well take the leap of faith, or at least wait a few days to make your ultimate decision. If you buy a Phenom II it's just going to be a headache selling it six months from now when you decide you want in on the new platform.

Not a clue. However, I make the assumption that a 95W part with a max stock clock of 4.0 has lower leakage than a 125W part with a max stock clock of 4.2.

Get my drift?
Absolutely. From what I'm seeing ...the 8150 is topping out at about 4.5ghz on all 8 cores total stable.
Let's see what the 8120's can give us.

I wonder if anyone will buy it and go, uh.... uh.... Honey, this don't fit!
I warned them this was going to happen if they kept letting the monkey run the marketing terminal while they took extended coffee breaks.
Not in stock but I assume it soon will be. Doesn't look like they are offering it as an OEM part (w/o cooler)yet. I hoped it would be cheaper.

Maybe & slightly are the key words here. I'm waiting to see 8120/8150 oc results compared. They'll start coming in before the weeks end.
