Gainward squeezes even more from the 6600 by upping the speeds to 540/1200 MHz.
Its traditionally faster cards will end up with the interesting Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/1960PCX XP “Golden Sample” GLH name where GLH stands for Goes Like Hell. This card will end up working at a 540MHz+ core and 1200MHz GDDR 3 1.6 nanoseconds memory. It will have 128MB of memory and will go to selected press this week, while end users will be able to get it for €349 next week. An AGP version will be available in early November. The second version of the card Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/1960PCX XP “Golden Sample” will end up clocked at 520+ MHz core and 128 MB of 2.0ns DDR3, possibly clocked at the reference 1000MHz and will come at a spicy €299 price, while the last non-Golden Sample clocked at 500 MHz core and 128 MB or 2.0 GDDR3 will cost €249.
