Microsoft.com Hacked and Defaced

It has been reported that Microsoft Press has been defaced this evening by a group named “Outlaw Group”. Although the group doesn’t seem to have caused much damage, this is clearly an embarassment for Microsoft.com webmasters.

Straight_Man Um, what URL was given in the report????

Base URL for Microsoft Press is inside Microsoft's Learning area from within US....

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/books/default.asp

And even the site menuing is different from here, than on that page-- is this another spoof page rehook thing the reporter encountered??????

The fixed it so it redirects to the learning site. But earlier I went there myself and it was just down with a "Virtual directory listing denied".

I get that but generally if you say something like hey "Yahoo.com got hacked" and someone goes there your thinking like the main site, not like oh yeah its actually yahoo.com/subdirectory/othersite.asp
