It seems pestering ATI for info on the R420 does work, or at least it does on some level.

OK take a deep cleansing breath, in and out… Think calming thoughts….I don’t know where this 26th date came from (to be honest it was never the 26th). So, you won’t hear anything from anyone under NDA today. But, I don’t want you to suffer unnecessarily, so here are a few details to tide you over.
1) The board is red
2) There will be an X in the name (maybe even 2)
3) You won’t be disappointed in the performance
4) You will still be able to run it in your shuttle
5) It won’t consume as much power the space shuttle (or a competitor’s card for that matter)
