Nvidia’s analysis on ATI’s X800 Launch

Nvidia’s analysis on ATI’s X800 Launch

At Nvidia’s latest press conference, there was a presentation shown about ATI’s X800 launch, and as expected Nvidia seemed to find it fun to bash its competitor ATI. Check out one of the apparent slide images below.

What can you say except… rrrrright!

this just shows that Nvidia is scared of the competition and is really keen on showing what they improved on the NV40
In all of that, they have failed to mention that ATi's X800 series owns nVidia's 6800 series.
  2. RADA
RADA So I guess you could also look at this as them saying

ATi's New "Last-Years" Hardware and Software is still :Pwned:us on our New "This-Years"Hardware and Software!

    :nudge::rarr:

Zero1 lol its just a marketing thingy ashuring their blind consumers that their shiz is the best lol

It's really funny that their talking about some trivial issues Drivers riiiiight and theirs are the best lol
  4. TheSmJ
TheSmJ Have the NV40 based cards even been released yet?

I wont judge this until both cards are on the shelf.
  5. Outcast-Jedi
Outcast-Jedi Frankly, i think nVidia slides are kind of 'low-class', with lots of insulting phases and words, for such big worldwide coperation
  6. Geeky1
Geeky1 nVidia has, time and time again, displayed very little class in their ads, their presentations, their software (ATi may cheat too, but they only did it once), etc. This is yet another reason why I have very little respect for them as a company.

I think they are starting to ship yes.

Shorty Anyone else think this looks really suspicious?? ;)

Take a look through the rest of the "slides".. and spot the spelling mistakes... etc...

Yep, that was my first thought. Hence:

"Check out one of the apparent slide images below."

But do you really think Nvidia are incapable of spelling errors? ;D

can i see this internal document?
  11. pseudonym
pseudonym Geeeeeee, its SOOOOOOO difficult to put together a powerpoint slide.
  12. Thrax
Thrax Apparently no one reads [H]ard|OCP here.

Kyle called nVidia's front office, and the leaked document was admitted to.
  13. Geeky1
Geeky1 Damnit Thrax, you beat me. :p

pseudonym: Sure, making .ppt slides is easy, but why go to all that effort when nVidia has already done it for you? :D;D
  14. MediaMan
MediaMan I called ATI 2 days ago on this. NVIDIA is indeed playing dirty pool. While the powerpoint slides may or may not be actually from NVIDIA...they do reflect what NVIDIA has been admittedly saying.

NVIDIA has not yet responded to my "helloooooooo?"
  15. Jengo
Jengo haha, i just seen all of the slides, those are hilarious.

they do point out alot of ATI's problems, but they do seem alittle... hmm... how can i say? Quickly made...
  16. Thrax
Thrax The "Problems" aren't really problems.

It's nVidia being pissed off because Pixel Shader 3 can't save them from ATI.
  17. MediaMan
MediaMan It's verified that NVIDIA have been making some of those statements verbally. Read between the lines and Thrax nails it. Jen Hsun's defensiveness on PS 3.0 on the analyst call and that means NVIDIA is on the defence.
  18. Spinner
Spinner If both companies put as much effort into making the hardware as they do slagging each other off, I imagine they both would have nailed a few things squarely on the head by now.
  19. Zero1
Zero1 What I dont understand is why nVida has to bad mouth Ati instead of spending the time and money bad mouthing Ati they could be improving their cards you know?
  20. Geeky1
Geeky1 Because apparently, it is easier to make powerpoint slides than it is to design a decent gpu. :D
  21. Jengo
Jengo ATi isnt innocent on the badmouthing you know.
  22. Geeky1
Geeky1 No, actually I don't know that. I do know that they're not innocent when it comes to cheating, but ATi has only cheated (been caught at it, anyhow) once. nVidia gets caught on almost every single driver update, it seems like.
