Teenager comes to Microsoft

A teenage computer whizz from Aberdeen in the UK has averted a potential crisis at software giant Microsoft. But all he received for helping protect Microsoft from hackers was a mention on its website. If I were him, I wouldn’t bother again.

He said: “At first I was put through to a load of different departments because they thought I was a home user with a problem.

“Then I got put through to the security response team and that’s when we started working together, passing bits of code back and forth.”

That was my first thought as well... the only thing that amuses me more than an IT specialist who can't keep his workstation in order is that's what we ALL focused on out of that story

You are correct though, MS sure didn't do the right thing by the young bloke. They should have an Incentive scheme, or at least reward him appropiately.
