RWB Does anyone like this version? I am curious becuase I may try to use Winamp again in place of iTunes. But I recall that some people say to use an older version for some reason, but I don't recall which version was the one that everyone liked.

2.9 is the best But I moved to the new one because well its hard to find 2.9 :(

Kwitko I like WinAMP 5. There's a plugin that lets you play iTunes-purchased content. The only thing is you have to have legally purchased the music and the PC must be authorized.
  5. entropy
entropy I never understood why everyone hoots n hollers about 2.9...
  6. Thrax
Thrax Because it can do everything 5 can do at a fraction of the memory footprint, load time, and UI clutter.
  7. Garg
Garg I use 5. With a gig of ram, I don't notice the increased amount of memory 5 may use (I'm not running it in any situation where hundreds of megs of memory are already being used). I would expect that 5 has better plugin support, too.

Besides, if I ever get tired of pretty skins, old school skins are only a click away.

Garg I'll stick with Winamp until musikcube supports video and WMA audio.
