Gigabyte Introduces Gamer Cases

Gigabyte has entered the chassis market with their 3D Aurora line, designed to accommodate gaming enthusiasts.

These all aluminum cases come in silver and black, supplemented with enough blue LEDs to make Vegas look dim. It also features a laser projector that shines a customizable message or logo about where your toes sit in front of the case.

The 3D Aurora also comes with dual holes for feeding in the increasingly common watercooling rigs through, and a place to hang the tanks and radiator. GB claims they are compatible with all watercooling kits.

5 Feb 2006 ~ 2:02pm RWB I think it looks pretty neat. But I don't ever wanna buy a full tower again, I hate big clunky cases. I wish there was a case that was similar to the Micro ATX cases but allows for ATX boards. I like it to be small and compact.

I think the more space you have, the cooler it runs and the more space you have to make cooling customization
6 Feb 2006 ~ 9:45am dstyle347 How about the Antec Super Lanboy, what do you guys think of that case? I like it but I got one sittin here waiting for my new build so I'm gonna overlook any disadvantages anyway... cause i'm good like that.

7 Feb 2006 ~ 1:14am Leonardo I've got two of the Super Lanboy cases. I can't say enough good things about them. Just a couple drawbacks that one needs to be aware with that case:

1) If there is a really large CPU heatsink, it might be necessary to mount the exhaust 120mm on the outside of the case. The seft edge of the motherboard is exactly flush with the back of the case. 2) The included plastic case window is very poor quality with a hazy view. I pulled them out and made my own windows with plexiglass. 3) The case is a little flimsy (not sturdy enough for my comfort without the case side on and secured with the thumbscrews.

About twice a year CompUSA has these cases on sale (after rebate) for $39.99. Two Antec low speed 120mm fans are included. My No. 2 and 3 rigs are housed in Super Lanboys.
7 Feb 2006 ~ 7:07am RWB I think my LianLi PC-65 Aluminum Case will be doing fine for me for years to come. It's the only thing on a computer that doesn't have to be upgraded on a yearly basis thank god.

7 Feb 2006 ~ 2:34pm Garg I'm still using my Aluminum Chieftech tower. Not sure what it's called, but it's "that" case, the one that was in-vogue for awhile, and Antec, Chieftech, and everbody made it, and Alienware sold their systems in it.

It's big, but it's my favorite case I've used so far. The only thing it needs is a removable motherboard tray, but I'll deal. For a case that big, it's light as a feather.
7 Feb 2006 ~ 3:00pm Leonardo Right, the Antec "1030/B" equivalent. I'm using the Chieftec steel version. Good breathing cases, but just not deep enough. It's easier to work in my little Super Lanboys than the tall, long, but skinny 1030. I also took out the saw and modified my '1030' for 120mm intake and exhaust. Just no excuse these days for 80mm case fans. That's so last century, but that's when I bought the Chieftec/Antec/Joe'sCaseCompany/Alienware/UniversalCase 1030.
