The latest weeks figures released in Japan, show that the New Super Mario Bros. continues to outsell its closest competitor (another Nintendo title), Brain Training 2 by nearly 280,000 units.
In the previous week New Super Mario Bros. sold nearly 900,000 units, putting total reported sales over 1.2 million units in just two weeks at retail.
Overall, seven out of the top ten games were Nintendo titles.
On hardware sales, the DS Lite sold more than five-and-a-half times than that of the PSP at over 135,000 units during the week. Xbox 360 was the sixth best-selling hardware out of 10 platforms, just topping 1,200 pieces of hardware sold.
