  1. Thrax
Thrax At least the failboat is no longer sinking. Now it's just a crippled dingy without a hope of ever finding Performance Island.
  2. Leonardo
    Leonardo Geez, Thrax! LOL

Look at my signature and will not see any AMD/ATI anything. Last AMD CPU I used was in 2003. It is reasonable that no one would consider me to be an AMD fanboy. Now, with that said, I think you are being a bit harsh there, Thrax. If all AMD were producing were CPUs, yes, I'd say they need something close to a miracle to ever become more than a fly in Intel's fur. They have though, been producing very good (but not the elite top spot) video cards, and their latest motherboard chipsets are getting rave reviews.

Now, concerning the fly in Intel's fur. If AMD can produce in quantity, I see no reason why they can't remain strong in the low and mid-range arenas.
  3. NiGHTS
NiGHTS Cookies for dunking in milk, Leo: I'm a 'dumb' consumer/investor. AMD makes microprocessors, and AMD's microprocessors currently suck. Therefore, I will not be buying/investing in AMD. I cause problems for AMD.
  4. AlphaTrinity
AlphaTrinity But you're looking for performance Nights. Leo is saying that for people who just want a computer for word processing, internet, etc AMD still has good options available. Sure the enthusiasts like most of the people on this forum wouldn't buy AMD (unless they are fanboys that is), but that doesn't mean the average person won't. I hear the spider platform is good; isn't that intended for consumers?

Glad to see AMD is working on fixing the mess with the stepping and all. I'm looking forward to what they come up with in the future..another 'Athlon64' perhaps.

    I can dream right?
