Your-Amish-Daddy I love Tweaktown's chart system. It makes me want to punch a baby.

Oh see here's an example I did. The two objects are like, 1-5 points off and they're kilometeres in distance from the other.

You know because .2 is so much that you have to space it like 80 pixels from the other or someone might think they're close!

BuddyJ I LOL'd like for reals. Your chart is awesome.

that is a fantastic chart. for real.

Your-Amish-Daddy Yeah isn't it? I laughed like a madman when I made it.

    BuddyJ I'm still laughing.

Your-Amish-Daddy I need to stop picking on things. People enjoy what I do over seeing my point, which isn't a bad thing, because laughter owns and all that...God that's funny. I was actually thinking of using a fluoride laser instead of a fireball.

_k Did you guys see how they spelled Duo Due in all the graphs. And "Today we are pitting Core 2 Duo against the AMD Phenom X3 8750 based processor. These two processors are aimed at the same market share. While the E8750 is clocked at 2.4GHz, we clocked the processor up to 2.5GHz by changing the multiplier to allow for a clock for clock comparison of the two different processors." I wish I had a E8750 but it looks like you don't get to much bang for your buck. And lastly I wonder if they got all three cores to rec in vista with the x3, cause isn't there an MoBo issue with them right now.

Your-Amish-Daddy See, I'm not the only one who thinks Tweaktown is friggin' retarded.

    Not an issue now.

_k Ok cause I remember that all the first reviews of the x3 only 2 cores were recking in windows.

    Not by a long shot!

They understand immediately what your point is. Your chart is the quintessential 1000 words.

Qeldroma Here's what caught my eye:

The AMD X3 uses 3 cores and a 65nm process,

    the E7200 uses 2 cores and a 45nm process,

but they had nearly identical power marks....

Does it look like AMD has something over Intel here?

I also noticed that they didn't really use applications that stressed the number of cores and really, the CPUs were splitting hairs in many of the categories and the AMD was underclocked 1% compared to the Intel.
  15. Your-Amish-Daddy
Your-Amish-Daddy Well, AMD has always been very power efficient...Except for the Thunderbird.

lemonlime The power consumption results in the article surprise me. I'll have to take a look at my test results again, but I recall that my E8400/P35 test rig consumed quite a bit less than the X3 did. It has twice the cache of the E7200 as well. I didn't have time to include them as part of the review, unfortunately.
