Seems most people aren't having any trouble getting over 3GHz on air. 3.2 is common from what I've read. Not bad compared to just a few months ago.
Yes, I agree. This is considerable progress. AMD must keep up that pace and accelerate it. Intel's already at 45nm production. AMD cannot afford slow down in ramping up speed and will be critical to launch their 45nm parts with BIG speed increases on time. Any more delays and they will no longer exist as "AMD," in my opinion.

Ramped speeds will not be enough to overcome Intel. AMD is now fighting the Northwood War; combating superior architecture with raw clockspeed, because they have nothing else.
