    oh now that is just crap. I know Mich doesn't make you turn in old plates, however I do not know about old personalized plates.
    
    I wish I could get it here to carry on the tradition..alas we only get 7 characters on personalized plates, even though the new plates all have 8 on the "regular" ones. :shakehead :bs:

I have 3 modems from various ISP's whom have asked me to return them upon deactivating my accounts.... never heard anything from any of them :P Licence plates are a different story, I wasn't asked to return them and if I were they could have them as they are barely legible due to collisions with the ground from going off road to avoid traffic, my new ones are barely 6 months old and have already been broken in haha

    19 Jan 2008 ~ 8:15am mmonnin I have an ISP modem as well and I essentially paid 5 bucks and change for it as I didnt get my overpayment back for not returning the modem.
    
    But they want your license plates back if you leave the state. I still have my Ohio plates.

    Yes they say you have to, but they won't / don't send a cop to your house and get them.
    
    Your not allowed to copy music either but most people don't follow that rule.

    20 Jan 2008 ~ 11:44am yagga What's the renewal fee? Here there is a one time rip off of $100 for a new custom plate and renewals are the same price, $39.50 after taxes and clever "filing fees." It's probably a little higher if the car is only a couple years old.
