Medlock I'll give it "wow" but not "future." Seems to be kind of a novelty/gimmick.
  2. mondi
mondi I really want one of these.

Just out of interest, what would you consider the future to be?

primesuspect Kyle was watching the videos tonight and his eyes lit up - he had the look of destiny on his face. He said, in awe: "Dad.... I want one of those...."

I don't see current instruments and computer programs/technology changing for quite a while, but now that I think of it...I really don't know. :aol:

    CB MIDI is the future.

If you like artificial sound. The problem with any synthesized sound is that it will never include all the overtones, "impurities," and unique signatures that are inherent in natural voice and non-electronic instruments. It will always be microwave dinner as compared to a home cooked meal. Don't get me wrong, it has it's place. Some of my favorite recordings are J.S. Bach played on a synthesizer, courtesy Walter/Wendy Carlos.

CB MIDI is not synthetic. :P Only the construction is synthesized, all of the sounds themselves are real recordings of one note at a time. You can make real non-vocal music digitally, while conserving storage space.

We should never have let MP3 tempt us from the purity of MIDI.

    primesuspect Gigastudio.

Each sample is gigabytes large. MIDI that sounds astonishingly real. Every possible nuance that you can experience with human ears. These samples were recording by ****ing sorcerers.

Tech/samples to which I am uninitiated.

primesuspect If you heard a song on the radio or recorded on a CD that was made ENTIRELY with a computer and Gigastudio - you absolutely would not know that it was not performed by real instruments.

broady81 Reminds me of the interface on the Korg Kaosspad. Check "beardyman" using it. He's a British beatboxer :smiles: ... I think it's pretty neat anyway
