  1. Basil
Basil I can't believe my taxes were spent on this.
  2. Thrax
Thrax Maybe we should've funded ping-pong instead.
  3. drasnor
drasnor I liked the earlier trailer better:

  4. UPSLynx
UPSLynx Modern Warfare 3 is going to be so modern that my modern brain can't handle it. Modern.
  5. Shorty
Shorty I hate to be an obvious fanboi.. but I am looking forward to it. I want to see what sledgehammer games can do.. and hopefully it's less crappy than Black Ops (I am just not a treyarch fan)
  6. Cliff_Forster
    Cliff_Forster Been there, done that.
  7. Butters
Butters 43 cents out of a dollar right.
  8. fatcat
fatcat obviously, this modern warfare game is nothing like real modern warfare, unless you can't shoot back in the video game? o.O
  9. QuadWhore
QuadWhore We should pay ping pong athletes instead.
  10. SpencerForHire
SpencerForHire I think what we really need to ask ourselves is with the economic condition our country is currently in, can we really afford another Call of Duty?
  11. Canti
Canti The way North Korea is going we better FIND a way to afford Call of Duty 8

    OR ELSE.
  12. Koreish
Koreish I've never heard of Am3rica, 3gland, Fran3, or G3rmany. Must be some of those East European countries that keep changing there names.
  13. primesuspect
primesuspect You uncultured swine. That's the Russian "Cyrillic" alphabet. Sh33sh.
  14. GHoosdum
GHoosdum I'm glad that the entire game industry has moved to the "if we release nothing but FPS wargames the people will love us" model. It really makes for some interesting diversity.
  15. AlexDeGruven
AlexDeGruven The game industry is not unlike TV. They've found a formula that works in terms of sales: A few REALLY good games like BF: 1942, CoD, BF2, etc. They have then taken that formula and extended it out beyond the limits of human comprehension.

Much like TV has done with 'Reality' TV. The first couple of "Real World" and even "Survivor" were fun and people liked them, but then the studios took that idea and ran with it, leaving us with barely more than Bachelor and American Idol respins.

I think you're exaggerating just a bit. It makes sense to make more CoD games since they sell so well even if it is a bit unoriginal but they aren't the only thing being made. If you don't believe me I know someone who would like a word with you.

I do hate to admit it but MW3 does look good. I played MW1 and actually really liked the single player but after watching my roommate play Black OPs for awhile it looks like they're going for a "How many explosions can we throw in your face every 2 seconds" kind of game rather than fun or interesting one.
  17. AlexDeGruven
AlexDeGruven Nobody's denying the draw of games like MW3 et al. The problem is, that seems to be the primary focus of game studios because they're guaranteed to be profitable. Unfortunately, that development tends to come at the expense of games like you're mentioning.

LOL, of course I'm exaggerating! Where would we be without the strategic use of hyperbole to point out trends?
  19. Koreish
Koreish Just remember the Duke is going to take all of this MW3 shit and set it straight.
