Getting Windows 7 beta 1

In an update posted to the Microsoft Developer Conference site, it has been revealed that all attendees will receive a copy of the first beta of Windows 7. While the MDC is primarily focused on promoting the benefits of all Microsoft products, an available release of Windows 7 will be sure to draw attendees that might not otherwise go.

Attending the MDC requires an entry fee of $100, and a residence located close to one of these tour destinations:

  • 12/9/08 Houston, TX
  • 12/11/08 Orlando, FL
  • 12/16/08 Atlanta, GA
  • 1/13/09 Chicago, IL
  • 1/13/09 Minneapolis, MN
  • 1/16/09 Washington, DC
  • 1/20/09 New York, NY
  • 1/22/09 Boston, MA
  • 1/22/09 Detroit, MI
  • 1/26/09 Dallas, TX
  • 2/19/09 San Francisco, CA

Attendees of December conferences will receive their discs by mail, while attendees of the conference after January 13 will receive their discs in person at the conference.
