    Fail.

    Netflix.
  9. ardichoke
ardichoke Did anyone else play Tron 2.0? I played about 2/3 through it.... so far I was on track to 100% the game but then had to reformat my computer and reinstall due to catastrophic Windows XP fail (a regular occurrence for me ever 8-16 months). Sadly this was before I made regular backups of my data so I lost my save file
  10. Cyclonite
Cyclonite I played it. I enjoyed it.

I will if the older movie is required to fully appreciate the new one but otherwise, I want this to be a completely new universe for me when (or if) I see it in theaters.
  12. Thrax
    Thrax It is required.
  13. primesuspect
primesuspect Thrax and I agree, therefore it MUST be true.

    Seeing Tron is required.
  14. Zuntar

    ........Seeing Tron is required.

    The original Tron, right?

I to am FAIL!! I only played the arcade game for hours and hours......many many quarters gone.
  15. Thrax
Thrax We shall not speak of how many hours I wasted on the Tron cart for the Intellivision.
  16. MAGIC
MAGIC Never seen Tron or played any of the games. I'll have to get to that.
  17. Zuntar

  21. CB
CB I loved Tron when I was a kid. I watched it again as an adult and ruined my childhood memories of its awesomeness.

  24. Canti
Canti I couldn't play Scorched Earth for weeks after seeing Tron because I was didn't want to kill all the little people living in the computer. Reboot had a similar effect.
  25. Koreish
    Koreish Reboot honestly?

  31. ardichoke
ardichoke Tron is now the next DVD in my Netflix queue. Just need to watch and return The Gamers: Dorkness Rising first...
  32. primesuspect
primesuspect My kids have been educated.

They were playing deadly discs almost the minute the movie was over.

Now the Tron Legacy trailer means something to them.
  33. primesuspect
    primesuspect On nostalgia goggles:

The 20th anniversary remastered edition isn't so bad. If you overlook the horrendously infantile computer terms (Damn! That was my most powerful program!), and just enjoy the scenery and fantasy factor, it's still watchable.
  34. Gate28
Gate28 I saw the 20h edition when I was like 10 because my dad brought it to me while we were at Blockbuster and he was like "This movie is pretty nerdy, I think you'll like it". I rented it and watched it and I was all like OMFG this is some trippy stuff! I watched it like 10 times that week, I thought it was amazing.

I hope Tron Legacy is darker than the first, that would make it totally epic.

  37. QuadyTheTurnip
QuadyTheTurnip Yup, for realz. And they'll apparently be performing it at some Tron-themed events at some point too...
  38. Kwitko
Kwitko I owned the arcade game. I watched the movie fifty bazillion times. It became that much better after I realized Lora/Yori and Lacey Underall are played by the same actress.
  39. ardichoke
ardichoke Oh yeah.... Netflix delivered Tron to me the other day... I should really watch that huh?
