I do love a juicy rumor fresh out of the oven, and today’s is a particularly fine one. Word has it that Microsoft’s 2010 release of Windows 7 has actually been moved forward by a whole year for a 2009 release. This is a significant amount of time to push forward an OS, particularly considering the gargantuan development time of Windows Vista.
Microsoft has three landmark code releases scheduled for 2008. Sure enough the first one has been sent out the door for evaluation known as M1 for a motorway in the sunny UK. The Inquirer serves up a few more details after the jump.
