Design Project: Favorite Legion Artifact and Appearance
Hi all!
Earlier today I decided I would make some wallpapers designed around my favorite artifacts and their appearances from Legion. Cause I'm a customization nut, and love the way some of these things are designed. Then thought, "Why not see if anyone else wants some. I could use the practice."
So here we are.
If you are interested please comment according to the following form, or at least post something like it. Multiple requests are allowed.
"Class Spec"
"Artifact Name" - Choose the specific appearance name.
"Color Scheme 1-4" - 1 through 4 from left to right according to the in-game/wowhead interface
"Screen Dimensions"
Example:
Windwalker
Al'akir's Touch
Color Scheme 4
1440x900
These wallpapers will be done in an abstract/minimalistic style. i.e. I'm not gonna draw characters wielding these things. Focus will be in the weapons, their color schemes, and key design elements. My avatar is an example of my style of work.
If you need help with the specifics, I'm following the way they appear in-game and in WoWhead's Artifact Calculator.
To Do list:
Fists of the Heavens - CS1
Al'Akir's Touch - CS4
Sheilun, Staff of the Mists - CS2
Toll of the Deep Mist - CS1
The Dreadblades - CS1
Talonclaw - CS1
Eagle's Rebirth - CS1
Kosumoth the Hungerer: An Incredible Easter Egg
Hey everyone, thought I'd let you know how Kosumoth came to be spawned because it was a pretty cool thing. It started as people [on Wowhead] searching for how to get the Long-Forgotten Hippogryph.
It was discovered that there are extremely hidden caves throughout Broken Shores with dark orbs in them. To give you an idea of how hidden these caves were one is in a broken ship in the middle of the ocean south of Eye of Azshara, through a crack, and then hidden behind kelp, basically three layers of secret you have to find. Another is a hidden cave that has another hidden cave near the entrance that actually has the orb.
It was then noticed that Drak'thul, the hermit orc on Broken Shores, has one of these orbs next to him. A commenter on Wowhead discovered that if you do an easter egg with Drak'thul (where you find a relic hidden in a cave nearby and give it to him and he speaks old god) it allows you to click on those hidden orbs, which are called Hungering Orbs.
Luckily next to Drak'thul is a table and on that table is a mix of pebbles and an orb which helped find them all. It was discovered this is actually a makeshift map of the Broken Isles and that the pebbles mark the different places where the orbs are found (with Drak'thul's orb as Suramar and Broken Shores as a fel candle). Here's a pic of the world map with these clues superimposed: http://imgur.com/sK51hnb
Through trial and error we discovered that the orbs had to be clicked in a very certain order. We collectively as a group went over them and eventually hitting the last one spawned Kosumoth.
Credit to all the amazing work people put into this in the Wowhead comments.
And here's the post with all the orb images and locations. Here's the guy who found the first orb.
And here's a better-formatted WoWHead post from the Reddit OP, with full screenshots and item links. Some of these orbs are hidden in plain sight, while others are mind-bendingly obscure.
And the real magic: you have to complete this ritual yourself to get loot from him. That's right! Visit Drak'thul, then the orbs in the specified order, and you'll get a special world quest to go kill Kosumoth.
The craziest thing of all: all of this happened because this guy theorized that the patterns of orbs and stones on the desk next to Drak'thul were not random. He overlaid them on the world map of Broken Isles, and he was right.
Drak'thul is found on a little hermit hut on the Broken Shore, the southern tip of the island that contains the Tomb of Sargeras. That was his location in Warcraft 3. And he's still there today, 14 years later in WoW.

Re: I borked my WP site, need PHP help maybe?
A) Get a better host. "does not support FTP over TLS" speaks volumes about your current host.
B) The index.html file should have been a blank file that you don't touch. It's a file that has to do with very low-level site security for php sites. It's importaint even though it doesn't provide much security. note: Either your .htaccess or your host messed up the redirect that forces the index.php file over the index.html... or you got hacked...
C) Back up, Back up, Back up... never have a site that you're not doing regular offsite backups of. If you don't have anything Consider Akeeba Backup for WordPress https://www.akeebabackup.com/products/akeeba-backup-wordpress.html
....
(controversial opinion)
Z) Consider Joomla over wordpress
Re: Pokemon GO
I finally did my first gym battles and it was as advertised. Fun, easy to handle at a bar or otherwise. Enjoyed trading it with someone else a few times for kicks. Snagged my highest CP from a random encounter about 5 or min walk from work. I got to work and arrived at my desk, pulled up fastpokemap for a quick look, saw 10:00 left on a snorlax, and immediately walked away from my desk. That was a lucky last great ball to capture at my level.
On the cusp of level 18, mostly playing walking to and from work, and if I'm near pokestops while out other places. I did finally go to a park that has 3 pokestops in range of sitting in the middle and put out two lures. Captured 3 new pokemon and several more rare for this area among the candyfodder.
Here's my top pokecreatures:
Snorlax was a random capture, Lapras just got today from 10k egg.

FINALLY! A way to manage your champion missions in your class hall without logging in from a computer.
How to still earn money in your garrison
The Garrison is dead, long live the Garrison!
A PSA for fellow guildies:
You can still use your garrison to earn money. By ignoring all XP, gear, and oil missions you can still send followers out to get garrison resources, and it's very easy to cap at 10,000 in a couple of days. You should take this time to tear down your barn or whatever bullshit you won't need anymore and build a trading post (if you're very industrious, you can even get the AH vendor for it). From your trading post you can still trade garrison resources for Draenor raw materials, some of which are still very relevant (particularly cloth, because bags never go out of style).
Another thing you can do is use the Menagerie to do a very quick daily pet battle to earn upgrades for pets. After a week or two of this you should be able to buy some pets that sell very well on the AH.
All for about 10/mins a day invested.
