It's a good point, QCH, and one that I've had a few thoughts about.
Personally, I will be working to block a string of staff from receiving rigs. I mentioned this in staff, and I'll say it here too. I'd prefer that no more than 1 in every 2 or 3 rigs (maximum) goes to a staff member when this "floodgate" is opened.
Also, I don't think all that many staff would throw their name in... I'm thinking closer to five. In any case, one of the causes for the discussion we had about it is because we were becoming concerned we'd be running short of eligible hosts by SM25.
If anyone has concerns in the course of selections that occur over the coming months, be sure to voice them!
Under those constraints... I would be inclined to alter my position and change to a YES...
Not that the entire process was waiting on my grace, but... "You have my permission..."

Perhaps award an SMx machine to a staff member every 5 or 10 boxes, or something along those lines.
//EDIT: I don't read:

Clutch said I think anyone who participates with the team should be eligible to host a system myself. And if we keep cranking them out, everyone should have one
I Agree with Clutch. I think anyone, no matter what their "position" around S-M is, that has donated time and effort into folding for the team, and has shown a passion for folding (haha, passion for folding, that sounds so.... I dunno, but you guys get what I mean ) should be eligible to host a box...it's only fair.
GHoosdum said Just for informational purposes here, why exactly were we going to run out of qualified hosts at SM25 or so?
I didn't say it would happen, we're just concerned at the possibility given that we are putting out rigs at a faster rate than proportinal membership growth.

Oh, it's even worse now. We DON'T LIKE ANYONE! :shakehead But we still have to come up with new hosts!
