I dont have a farm anymore. My company took away all my monster xeon folders, now all I have are a couple of lowly p4 and a celeron. Im just saying wait till the end of the week when I upload some of the wu's my machines are working on.
One 600MHz PeeThree monster heading straight to SM_Team_Intel
Thanks for arranging these sub teams Sledgehammer. I'd also echo Crypto's comments: Nice to see some fresh ideas and healthy competition this will be sure to spark some additional production and will be fun
I'll have to look to be sure, but I think I have a PIII-400 laying around here somewhere. Maybe with those deadlineless WU's it could do something besides gather dust. I may even be able to throw a K6/2-550 into the mix for the other side.
What the heck, winter's coming and the extra heat in the room might come in handy.
buhaaa! thats the spirit! see my plan is working, people are pulling heaters from the wood works for this project! I think I can get my Dual Pent 3 450Mhz going for the Intel side

Nothing like good old 'oldschool' power. Power in numbers!
Back in the olden days, Buddy J and I had several Celeron 400s folding for us. Back when those WUs were worth 1 or 2 points, those old Cely's made up a good chunk of our stats
I had a P166 I retired from Folding when I moved from Charlottesville, VA about a year and a half ago. ("Retired" as in tossed in the dumpster, minus the HD & 1337 72-Pin SIMMs, which I kept.)
There were times it would take nearly a month to finish a WU, but, by golly - it Folded 'em!
NOTE: I told myself I would stash away the money I saved on electricity and put it toward a better rig, but I ended up blowing it all on booze and fast women...
I like the fact that its actaully happening and members are folding for either AMD or Intel...perhaps we can encourage more people to be apart of this.
Okay 1 and 2 CPU guys and girls, jump on a team and lets give the top 10 SM folk a run for there money, SM_Team_AMD holds the lead pushing 4000 Points. with Team_Intel trailing. We also might have a team SM_Team_Mac ? but have yet to see any stats

EDIT: Correction! 733MHz
But I have 1 thing to say! GO SM_Team_AMD
my 2 AMD's are cranking away!

The member I linked to uses the slogan of a computer chipmaker as his username. That's what I meant by "three-way race".
Actually, four-way. Prime has a Mac!
:smokin:
Anyway, I consider your idea a 'winner' already due to its success.
Don't hit that PowerPC too hard...
