I am new to the site and everyone here.... So.. with that being said Hello everyone I have looked over all the previous SM-Lan's and they look and sound awesome. I have never actually been to a lan before. Do you allow newbies to the site (like myself) to attend, is it too late anyway, or do you prefer to know someone first? Everyone here seems to be a good groups of friends and I'm sure you are all great people. I would like to be a part of this community here and I would love to join in on the fun sometime. I'm always up for a good road trip and hanging out with cool people. If you could, please let me know how all of this works. I'm really interested. I will be around here on the forums from now on so if not this year (with me being new and all) I would totally like to go next year. See you all around.
Hey Red787.... I'm in the Chicago-land area. Where abouts in Chicago?
Oh... the real answer to your question... It's open to anyone but realize that this is as much a social event as a gaming event. As long as you aren't too shy, don't mind a 4 hour trip to the Detroit area, like spending over 48 hours with strangers that smell funny, then I think you are messed in the head
Thanks QCH2002. I actually live in the city on the northwest side. lol, I''m not shy and a 4 hour trip is nothing. I have to make trips like that into Wisconsin all the time for my job. I would totally love to go I just have to make sure I have the time off. I read about it today since I am new to the forums. I'm not a huge gamer per se so I'm up for anything most of the time. What other types of things go on at the LAN? Thanks for the open invite, lol.
You're welcome to join. Read the first post, if you want to attend there's still time to get your name in. You'll need to send the reg fee quick though, as I'll be getting the shirts made very soon. When you send me a PM, make sure to include your real name so I can get your name on a namebadge, and I will also give you access to the private "attendees-only" forum.
Omg, I am soooooooo frigging bummed that I can't go. Maybe its the 6 or so Molsen's I've had now, but man i soooo wanna hang with you guys (no man love, tho). Its just too friggin far to drive and I can't afford the plane trip as Ive got 5 facees to feed and one paycheck. I'm gonna crack open the next one for ya and cheers on the lan. WOW I'm gonna go now, got steaks to cook. Man I love Molsens. bye!
