For now, build crannies, lvl them up and build a wall. When you're in an alliance, attacks are more rare but they do happen and are usually done by enemy alliances or someone picking a fight.
Ah okay. Well, ill focus on my recources and try to get my cranny leveled. I have level 4 resources all around (iron in the process of making it to level 4) and just 1 cranny. Dont think im into it enough to buy gold, but is it really worth it? oh well. I look forward to seeing you guys in game!

I believe you start with 35 gold and most stuff only cost 2-5 gold except for Plus which costs 15 (for 3 days). Use them wisely.
You can probably expect to see a few people around you attacking you for your resources. At this point all you'll need to do is make sure you spend whatever you can, and have your cranny at a level good enough to hold what you can't spend in the event of an attack.
If they see they're getting nothing consistently they'll probably stop.
Finally am getting some level 10 resources. Once I get these puppies up into the mid teens I will definitely be able to help those seeking extra supplies.

No need to do that mate While you might make ~100 of a resource per hour, some of us (namly keebler) makes thousands of every resource per hour. In the early stages (as in..a few weeks at least) just focus on yourself.
For either 2 or 3 gold you can complete a building/upgrade immediately.

Hey Prime, my embassy was just upgraded to lvl9. Lvl10 in just few hours. That's 30 total members. I can look into lvl11 tomorrow. No sense in you wasting the resources to catch up to mine and then go beyond. Also, it makes my lvl 8 embassy kind of useless.
