I'm probably going to lose Roadblock soon. I just sent a very irritated missive to the head of Panther about their lack of tact - PANTH T is still allied with us yet one of their number just attacked my oasis (failing miserably, but still). I at least plan to make it painful to take if it's going down I was basically saying I was trying to be reasonable, but I'm going to start retaliating against raids.
Muggle replied with an apology, saying he had been away from the game for two weeks due to poor health. He isn't sure what happened but wishes to remain allies. I'm of course pursuing.
I've sent a message to the head of PANTH T to highlight their member's actions and insinuating I was replying via text rather than with catapults only in the name of good diplomacy.
Can you please just leave my villages alone? Do you have nothing better to do than to terrorise virtual villages on your computer for hours on end? Even when they ask you to stop? If this is some pathetic attempt to make yourself feel big for things you are lacking in real life, you're REALLY not doing a good job. If you're a jerk in real life, you're being a jerk right now. Some are REALLY gun-ho others are not. This is a bully that takes your lunch money under the threat of beating you up. Calling him out just made him prove he can beat you up.
I will message him and try to patch things up so this doesn't spill over to our entire alliance.
Our young (and inexperienced) Lord Harudath hath overstepped his bounds. The {IC} Alliance has reprimanded his childishness. His Message was inappropriate and unnecessary. As a personal ally of Lord Fourstar and receptor of his kindness, I fully understand the value of friends. Lord Fourstar has defended me and suffered the loss of good Zero Troops. The Royal court understand the cost of doing business and realize that some "farming" is to be expected.

When the time is right, we will ALL rise up and take what is ours. A huge part of this game is diplomacy. The alliance can step in and help in many cases but you all have to take some initiative and extend the Icrontic way.
Not that I want too, but we CAN boot you if things you do jeopardize the entire alliance. Don't confuse that with cutting you loose just to better ourselves. The attack can only be aborted within the first few minutes after it was launched. He couldn't cancel them if he wanted...
As a point of reference to my fellow {IC} Alliance members. This is the kind of letter I sent to keep the three big baddies that plagued me early in this game.

My poor villagers are threatening to throw me out or, worse, burn me in the village square for allowing you to attack us. I tried to explain that the world is not fair but the stupid farmers and miners have no idea that there places beyond the horizon. They discuss treating you as a god and offer me as tribute or killing me because I must be accepting bribes from you... I DO have a nice palace that they cannot fathom how I could afford.

I'm starting to attack some villages in my general area. I've been careful to make sure I'm not lining up attacks against people with alliances that can do much to fight back, but I though I'd give you guys a heads up. I've already had a few successes (you can see under alliance/attacks)! I'm still testing the waters on a few other potential villages though. The next week or so should be really fun!
Everyone I'm attacking has a population similar to or smaller than my own, and I've done some scouting to make sure I'm not sending my troops into a slaughter. The alliances (for those that have them) have leaders whose villages are similar population to my own. I'm not expecting any resistance.
I posted a cool tip regarding the "Big Picture" map webpage. It has historical info regarding town populations for the past 5 days. A great way to see if a user is done playing or doesn't play much
