I think the harvest moon is pretty gross. Very bitter.

I had Kuhnhenn's Classic American, Pilsner and Draak this evening. Draak got worse as the night went along; pretty hoppy and not my style. The rest was top-notch.

Tonight I had a Columbus Brewing Company Apricot Ale (delicious), a home brew a friend of mine made (tasty but with an enormous head), a Boulevard Wheat (usually yummy but this bottle tasted like watery mead?!), and a Yuengling (dependable).

Been stuck on Killian's Irish Red lately. It's a great substitute for food.

Had my first heineken the other day. Not a bad beer. Definitely no Oberon or Sam Adams, but it's a safe pick at the typical bar that has only coors and bud on draft.

No kidding! Had my first taste in LA last week, fell in love. Makes me not want to bother with the ole' Captain ever again.

The Private Stock is quite good . Much better than the regular ol' Captian.

My last enjoyable beer was Sam Adams' Summer Ale, on tap at the restaurant to which my girlfriend and I took my sister and brother-in-law out to dinner on Saturday.

I find it immeasurably better in taste and drinkability than the Boston Ale.

If you had any of the rum at the LAN that I brought, then that was Sailor Jerry, or if you did one of the Retarded Tigers (High Life (8oz)+ sour + shot of Sailor dropped in).

All I remember are people having it at the LAN and getting HAMMERED because of that lovely 92 proof goodness.

ooooohhh ok! Yeah, I tried the rum, didn't do the Retarded Tiger. Man, surprised I didn't remember that taste. Probably because I sampled so much that night (no to mention Ryder's Blue label. Took the cake.)

Awesome. Still on the hunt for Sailor Jerry locally....

    just for the record,,,,

just because i'm having a glass of private stock,
does not meant there is not a bottle of jerry on my shelf
    (and under my bed)

i don't drink beer, so the sailor is actually my casual drink of choice.

....scotch is just to darn expensive for partying on.

Ah the booze stash under the bed. Is the hidden Jerry under the bed an exclusive case, or do you have a liquor cabinet of sorts down there?

Last night had a baileys on the rocks (mmmm like drinking coffee) and a Sam Adams, ala Fatcat. I love Sam Adams so much.
