lol ABC rum. I've seen it, but I've never dared.

Drinking "Stoney's Beer". It's a simple beer sold exclusively at BevMo in Californai from Latrobe, PA. Nothing special, really, just easy drinking.

At the moment we are not drinking alcohol (maybe in a little bit).

We went to a local coffee roaster today, had some coffee beans custom-roasted on the spot, and bought a mill (nice grinder), and just made some in the french press. So amazing.... an amazing experience, and we learned a lot. And we supported a local up and coming business! :)

So, woke up this morning feeling absolutely wonderful, no hangover at all. Which was very unexpected and made me get out of bed with a bounce.

Then I found a pair of boxers in my toilet; the ones I was wearing last night. I have no memory of taking off my boxers as I awoke fully clothed, just with different boxers on. No...waste products in the toilet or boxers. No places on the floor where I drunkenly urinated. Nothing. No memory. No explanation. Last I remember was making a really stiff rum and coke after getting back from the party and a vague memory of opening the windows to cool the apartment down a bit. I don't even remember making the previous post on this thread.

I really am at a loss as to explain what happened.

How loud is it? Pretty consistent grind? I could use a better grinder than my blade grinder.

Not loud at all. Very consistent grind (burr mill - type grinders are very consistent). Would highly recommend it. Works very well, especially for the price.

Nice grinder Wags. I recently bought a Capresso Infinity stainless steel conical burr mill myself. Best 100$ I ever spent (at least on coffee-related goods). I no longer get particulate in my french press coffee :D

Wow, burr grinders have really come down. $25 is a great price. The cheapest Capresso or Bodum grinders start around $70. Nice!

From what I saw when I was shopping for mine, that's the difference between a standard burr mill and a conical burr mill.

I believe wholly in Bodum; I paid $90 for mine over ten years ago. I recently took it apart and gave it a thorough cleaning and it is as good as new. In an era of disposable appliances, $90 for ten years is a bargain in my book.

Great Lakes Brewing's Christmas Ale is very good. And, I am surprised how consistently that Black and Decker grinds. It's a great value.

Christmas Ale has gotten harder and harder to get hands on in Columbus the last couple years. I haven't seen it in stock in any store, and I've been in bars that have ran out right before I've ordered it. So frustrating.

Weird, the place just across the street from me here in Tallahassee had some, but you can't get any?!

The Krakken Rum. I have released it. It has supplanted Sailor Jerry as my favorite rum. Possibly by eating him. For my own sake, I had best drink more of it.

Tonight I had Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. It was okay, but nothing stellar. The "pumpkin" taste was overwhelmed by a strong flavor of alcohol (no subtleties), and it was one of the flattest beers I've ever had. The flatness of the beer might have been blamed on the draft, but it was pretty disappointing.

Yeah, that's the draft. That beer came out in September, they probably had a really old keg. Get it fresh next year, it'll taste totally different.

At the bar posting, this probably a bad idea to log in from my phone allowing me to post more later tonight as the drunk progresses. Now using swype while drinking, not good.

More to come as I become Gods Own Drunk (jimmy buffett reference)

Some real rum here, Ron Zacapa 13yr.
It is from Guatemala and it is real smooth.
    Drink it neat.

And then the Johnie Walker Double Black.
I had never seen it before Duty Free this trip.
Not quite Gold, but a bit richer and smokier than regular Black.
Worth it for a special treat.

I on the other hand do not have high blood pressure (yet) so I followed up my 2 cups of coffee and Mocha Frapachino with a 16 oz Redbull. Now I have moved on to Rockstar Gum (40 mg caffeine per piece)

    It's a good LOLFriday
