@midga That won't happen. The RSVP is just for the bikes, and I'll reserve as many as we have signup. Believe me, if I thought we could just run up to Wheelhouse and say "I'll have 30 bikes, please" it wouldn't be an issue. I told Amy I expected there to be about 10-15 in the group, hoping to shatter expectations. It would just suck if there were only three of us. It's likely Amy wouldn't want to come back next year and do it again.
I totally understand the position of those who are hesitant to sign up early. Just keep a few things in mind. It's early Friday morning, with no other events planned during that time, so the biggest thing you are going to have to worry about it staying up too late and drinking too much the night before. There's really not much else going on where you'll have to worry about that. I don't want to talk anyone into this that doesn't want to go, I just wouldn't want anyone to miss that is genuinely interested, because they think they might be overwhelmed.
this is my 9th... and I really should not go. New management role starts Monday, I have TechEd down in Orlando the week before EPIC, the person that will be covering for me during the TechEd conference will be off the two weeks before I go and I have to cover for him when he's gone. So I have to learn my team and what I want them to do, learn the other guys team and what he wants them to do, learn what training I need, do my normal job, and then leave for TechEd... I come back and have to take time for EPIC the very next week. That's like a month with two teams being all screwed up just when they need managers to be there... I really should not go to EPIC this year.

Transport is so far arranged, my father has said yes (All that's left is the hard part...me mum but if my dad's on board and I can convince her that I won't break the bank to attend this then she'll likely give me a go ahead) although we're currently looking at Greyhound buses or a similar company if it's cheaper than VIA Rail.
If I go to Windsor by train I need pickup to get over the border to the venue and then a hotel room or the like to stay in during the event.
I'm really thinking this may actually happen and hell I'm just giddy.
I live three blocks from the Greyhound station in Detroit, and about six blocks from the Ambassador Bridge. So no worries I'll make sure to meet you and get you to the event safely.
Course this all hinges on getting a yes from my parents. Funnily enough I've got approval to go next year...so I don't know why this one is an issue...

I should not go... . . . . . But screw it... How can I make 10 straight in 2013 without going to this years. I may have to do some work while at EPIC but I cannot miss this. No way!
@QCH, you bring up a good point. In fact, I remember last year I had some work to do while I was at the event, and others did as well. I wonder if we could get a small, quiet room for people who need to take a break from the shenanigans and get a little work done?
