Cloud Cult - Washed Your Car
One of my new favorite bands. This specific song reminds me of Modest Mouse mixed with DMB, but I like some of their other songs a bit more.
Destroyer - Rubies
Recommended to me by someone. The side project from singer of The New Pornographers - very good.
Angel Eyes - By the Time He Was My Age, Orson Wells Had Made Citizen Kane
Wow. Epic wall of sound would be the way to describe it. For whatever stupid reason they turned the levels super high, so you have to lower the dB on your player quite a ways to make it sound good. I don't like the amount of distortion. The singer could stand to just walk away, too, but oh well.
Was on my way home from work, and normally I love this song, but for whatever reason it was amazing this time. I didn't think my car stereo could go that loud.
Good Goodbyes - Unhinged
Members of The Shins and various others. On a scale of one to ten, I'd rate it an "eh."
Collections of Colonies of Bees - Untitled 5
Mmmmm, CoCoB. Just got this off eBay.
Alotia - I think I'm Leaving Camus
Haven't given the whole album a proper listen, but it's got a nice mathy feel to it. Does get someone frustrating (like all math rock) because you can never put your finger on the time signature long enough to get comfortable before they switch it up.
Currently on "Frozen Twilight" for about the 5th time. I had no idea they had a new album coming out until I stumbled on it. So amazingly beyond beautiful. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what music is about. Album comes out on the 27th, and I plan on ordering mine tomorrow ASAP. It's just... crushing. This band can tell an entire life story in a song, while only using minimal vocals sounds (not even real lyrics). I think most post-rock strives for this, but God is an Astronaut pulls it off flawlessly. Unbelievable.

The Samuel Jackson Five - Skinflick Dress Rehearsal
Mordy - Morskie Opowiesci
Christmas is a perfect time for post-rock. Feels so fitting, especially this 35007 one.
steve vai is imho the best guitar player ever... a true virtuoso
80s music at its best.
