Might want to consider xfi Advantage if you're going to be renting their modern and getting a speed tier at 250mb/s or above. It's $2 more than simply renting the modern and you get unlimited data. Unlimited data by itself can be up to $50.
Downside to xfi Advantage is that you have to use their modern. They're probably selling your metadata to China, but it beats having to budget your data to stay under the 1tb cap.

Getting 180MB down at home, which is whatever. Good enough for me. But for funsies I re-tested the pipe at work. notbad.jpg.

Work speed, confuses me
Finally joined the 21st century at home.
New house, new ISP, new speed
Wish AT&T offered that here.

The high ping is due to a crappy router from the ISP, the have promised to fix it months ago...
Things are looking good for expo
Post Hurricane Maria internet for my parents using an LTE connection.
My phone appears to be happy.
I finally get to do this and not be embarrassed!
Not symmetrical, but something's something.

Hell yeah that's a huge speed bump. Grats!
In terms of ISPs, going from FiOS to Xfinity is going to hurt bigly.

I'm not sure they're accurate.
Context? It's generally been pretty accurate for me.
Seems at least to me that Fast.com overestimates the internet speed. I physically can't go over a gigabit with my connection, yet it shows 1.1 Gbps.
Dslreports has the only accurate test for gigabit imo.
The numbers are a bit different:
