If you’re one of those that has been drooling and foaming at the mouth for any news you can get about Company of Heroes 2, this moment is going to be especially foamy for you. Get the towels.
You can now register for the closed beta, and if you act quickly, there’s a good chance you’ll get in to the special alpha test for tomorrow. Registration for the closed beta opens up right now, but the first 5,000 or so people that register will get access to a special Alpha Load Test starting tomorrow. The official closed beta begins in January, which is when pre-order customers and those with codes from THQ get in.
Now, keep in mind that this is basically a load test. Don’t expect any sort of polish or shine. This is a test to stress the networks and find connectivity issues. If you are accepted as an Alpha load tester, you’ll automatically be eligible for the closed beta that begins in January.
This will be the general public’s first chance to play CoH2. We may or may not have two Steam keys for the alpha test, if you’re a good girl or boy and if you pay attention to this space (this will be a good time to make sure you’re registered on Icrontic forums and you have at least one badge for your profile), you might just get lucky, like 84LMX-ZLLZN-Z72K4 for no reason.
