Apple: We had one hell of a weekend

With the first generation iPhone it took 74 days to sell over a million phones. The new iPhone 3G? One weekend. At least that is what Steve is telling us.

Steve chimed in today to let everyone know that despite activation servers crashing, phones bricking, and the yellow snow tinted screens – he’s still the man.

Say what you want, but it hard to argue against the numbers. One million iPhones sold and 10 million downloads from the App Store during the first week. Gigli couldn’t even get numbers like that.

   14 Jul 2008 ~ 2:11pm Leonardo Although I own no Apple devices, I down have quite a bit of Apple stock in one of my mutual funds. I can play it both ways: make fun of Jobs and Apple but enjoy the bonanza the fanboys bring to my investments.

   I've chosen to follow you example, enjoy Apple without actually having to own anything.

   15 Jul 2008 ~ 1:09am Leonardo I borrow my wife's cellphone from time to time. Don't remember what brand it is. It lets me talk to people on the go. That's all I care. But yes, I am the cellphone Luddite. As far as I'm concerned, the less time I spend on the phone - any phone - is all the better...unless it's my son, wife, or daughter calling.
